Our Background and Experience

GLP’s principals each have more than 25 years experience designing life insurance products, valuing blocks of life insurance products, and modeling future cash flows from existing blocks of life insurance policies. With senior executive experience with both direct writing life insurance companies as well as reinsurance companies, they have been analyzing policies and reverse engineering product designs since well before the current advent of the life settlement industry.

The 10,000 Hour Principle - Much has been written about the theory of needing 10,000 hours of practice to become an expert at a particular task or in a particular field. Life insurance products can be incredibly complex, and an understanding of the inner workings of the policies cannot be obtained in a matter of months. GLP did not enter the life settlement industry and develop its expertise; rather, GLP developed its expertise designing life insurance products for many years and now is in a position to utilize this knowledge and experience in the life settlement marketplace.
